Mary answered and said, What is hidden from you I will proclaim to you. - Chapter 5 verse 7 The Gospel of Mary Magdalene.
In 2020, Victoria, Australia was deep in lockdown. I had a lot of time to think, read and post on instagram.
After one particularly profound post, a follower commented, "have you read the book, Mary Magdalene Revealed?"
That comment started me on a 5 year journey to create Intuitive Body Intelligence.
Why does Mary and her gospel speak so deeply to me and thousands of others?
Perhaps it is because she, like me, was a woman of the global majority. With dark skin and kohl-rimmed eyes, she held the wisdom of the linegae of women that came before her, alchemists and preistesses. She was not the prostitute that common history would have you believe but an educated, wealthy woman of status, Jesus's Sugar Mumma (if you will).
And how many powerful woman can relate to having their retpuation tarnished because they dared to embody their power?
Blessed are you that you did not waver at the sight of Me. For where the mind is there is the treasure. - Chapter 5 verse 9 The Gospel of Mary Magdalene.
So I read the book, and immedietly thought about how this knowedge could be embodied and harnessed to heal and liberate? I wrote pages and pages, but I could not make it work. I put the notebook aside and focused on my career as a NetworkSpinal Chiropractor in Ballarat.
But my work felt hollow.
So I reached out to that follower, who was Dr Ricci-Jane from
The Institute for Intuitive Intelligence® and in December 2022 I started my studies in intution.
By the end of 2023, Ricci had trained me to be the first teacher of The Intuitive Intelligence Method and by 2024 I had alchemisted my bricks and mortor Chiropractic practice into the world first online only Chiropractic practice - Lumos Energy Body and relocvated my family to The Algarve in Portugal.
And I thought I was done.
The soul answered and said, What binds me has been slain, and what turns me about has been overcome, - Chapter 5 verse 21 The Gospel of Mary Magdalene.
But it wasn't until I was on retreat during my post-graduate studies in Spiritual Directorship that it all fell into place.
We were in Pondicherry, the ancestral home of my maternal grandmother, a gifted Ayurvedic healer and daughter of an apothecary, whose photo graces the Intuitive Body Intelligence logo.
All of my sisters had disembarked planes with twisted necks and spines and so I worked with their travel worn bodies. Ricci, my friend, looked on and asked "why did you give up this hands on work?"
I had no answer. Except for: my ego.
But as Mary's gospel teaches us, the Ego is our greatest gift and power. To embrace it and transmute it's seven powers is to live aligned with our highest purpose.
So I went home, I started seeing hands-on 1:1 clients again, I worked online with my clients all around the world, I wrote me 3rd book, The Condition Cure about the conditions we live in that make us sick and I began my fourth book, "I Don't See Colour".
Intuitive Body Intelligence
Collective Liberation is the only way to individual healing.
In truth, I had become disillusioned with the healing and wellness industry. Sick and tired of talking about self-care and selling the idea that if we just tried harder, we could all be well, when the truth is we are all being crushed under the weight of late stage capitalism, colonialism and white supremacy. We are getting sicker and more disconnected all the while influencers on TikTok try and sell €700 vagus nerve stimulators. The people who really need self-care cannot access it because it lives behind a paywall.
Ancient wisdom, like my grandmothers recipes and Mary Magdalene's gospel, this is what we need to heal. To take responsibilty and accountability. To unbind what has been bound. To free the wisdom and energy that is held within the community of our bodies so that we may repair what has been lost and broken.
Our bodies are achives of lineage, rage and resistane.
